“Can I ask you a favor?” Ven’s hesitate question caught Aqua a little off-guard from her seashell charm she’d been making.
Giving him a radiant smile, Aqua patted the stone beside her, “What is it, Ven?” she set aside the shells and twine, turning to face the young boy.
Ventus sat beside her, inhaling deeply, unsure of his question before he opened his mouth, the words tumbling out, “I wanted to ask if you could find out how Terra feels about me,” his wide eyes downcast as he wrung his hands
Aqua paused, her heart plummeting. Swallowing past the lump in her throat, she touched Ventus’ shoulder with a encouraging smile, one that didn’t reach her eyes. It seemed she wasn’t the only one with feelings for their brunette friend.
“Sure,” she tilted her head down, catching his eyes, “There’s no reason to be embarrassed.”
He nodded and met her gaze.
Aqua grinned and ruffled the boy’s hair, a thing they had developed into doing to the boy, who didn’t seem to mind. He grinned back, his nervousness fleeting.
Her body sang with disappointment, limbs heavy as she stood, “I’ll go get on that.” she chuckled emptily.
Ventus never noticed.

Date: 2012-07-22 11:11 pm (UTC)(And Matty, holy shit, I just thought of this. You know how Ventus and Terra are mindfucks and stuff? What if their relationship is the reason why Sora and Riku kinda "hooked" up. Y'know, past feelings with present feelings building upon them? Omg.)
Ventus' seems quite oblivious to Aqua's feelings, maybe that's why Sora has that quality.
Poor Aqua. :(
