The full moon peaked over the tree tops as Kagome pulled herself up onto the flat rock Sango was perched on, overlooking the hot springs. Sango offered her one of the dry towels from her backpack that Kagome gladly took as she sat down, draping her legs back into the water and started toweling her hair dry.
“Here, let me help,” Sango said, motioning for Kagome to turn her back to her so that she could run the comb through her hair.
“Thanks Sango,” Kagome inhaled and closed her eyes contently.
“Kagome?”
“Hmm?” She turned slightly to look at Sango over her shoulder.
The Taijiya chewed on her lip as she concentrated on plaiting Kagome’s damp hair, “How does one feel when in love?”
When Kagome didn’t answer the question, Sango paused and met her gaze, before Kagome took a deep breath, “I’m not one that could say for certain how one should feel when in love.”
Frowning, Sango looked down to her hands resting in her lap, “But aren’t you in love with Inuyasha?”
She opened her mouth to respond then closed it, waiting several breaths to answer her, “I don’t really know what I feel for him.”
Though when she saw Sango’s discouraged puzzlement, Kagome rested her hand on Sango’s, “But I’ve heard from Ayumi that it’s like floating in the clouds.”
“Floating?” Sango raised a brow.
Laughing, Kagome nodded before giving her a playful wink, “It’s the best I got.”
Sango chuckled and returned her smile, “Yeah.”
