“I don’t know why you wanted to move things around in your room today,” Riku grumbled, clearly annoyed at having been roped in to helping his best friend.
“Pipe down and be care with that mirror,” Sora pointed, “Can you move it over here by the closet.”
Riku rolled his eyes and hefted the full-length mirror into his arms. It was an unsteady grip as he inched his away towards the spot Sora had designated. The edge of the mirror caught the carpet and Riku held the teetering plate of reflective glass.
Sora cried out, rushing towards them, “I told you to be careful with the mirror!”
“It's just a mirror, Sora,” Riku said, raising a brow as the brunette took the full-length mirror from his grasp, waddling it over to the spot where he wanted. “It isn't a family heirloom, so why are you being so protective over it?”
“Superstitions,” Sora said easily, “If a mirror breaks, it's seven years bad luck. And this is a big mirror, so I mean, it’s gotta be more than seven years on it.”
“Really?” Riku snorted, crossing his arms as Sora leaned the mirror against the wall, “And you believe that crap?”
“Yes, I do,” Sora huffed, his childish nature coming out as he gave the mirror a wide berth, “I don't want bad luck at all.”
“Wow,” Riku shook head, laughing at the brunette, “That's really stupid.”
“It's not stupid,” Sora grumbled.
“Okay, whatever you say,” Riku turned away, picking up a box full of Sora's winter clothes to continue with the task that he'd been suckered into helping with, “Where do you want these?”
Sora pouted, but relented, “Over there.”
