Lady Hawke stared the elf down, her sadness evident on her face before she nodded her head, allowing Fenris to speak. He stepped forward, watching how she blocked the entrance to her manor with her body.
“I’m came to talk to you,” he said, reaching his hand out to her, which she declined in taking.
“I can see that,” she mumbled, crossing her arms over her chest, pushing her bosom up slightly, her clevage peaking out the low neckline of her nightgown. “Though it’s late, and I have a meeting with the Viscount in the morning, so do be quick.”
Fenris gripped the stone column and stepped forward, green eyes deep with longing, “I was lost without you.”
“You turned me out of your heart.” Hawke sighed and grabbed the handle to her front door, “But I don’t want to hear this, if that is what you’ve come her to dig up.”
“Wait!” he grabbed her arm and pulled her to him, feeling the sadness within him growing deeper.
“Yes?” Hawke raised an indignant brow, not giving him an ounce of leverage to work with.
“Can we speak about this?”
She seemed to give it thought, before she pulled away from him, “Very well, but we’re doing this inside. It’s getting cold out here, and I’d rather keep warm.”
Fenris released a held breath and gave her a small smile, “Thank you, Hawke.”
“Just get inside.”
