“Mi’Lady Cousland,” Nathaniel took her offered hand, leaning down to press a customary kiss on the back of her knuckles, before he straightened, giving her his best devilish grin.

“Lord Nathaniel,” she mumbled the greeting, turning to look out through the throne room full of guests.

“It’s good to see the Vigil filled,” Mistress Woolsey said as she stepped up to the dais next to the Commander, “And I must say, it is wonderful to see you finally in a dress.”

Nathaniel chuckled at his Commander’s expense, though she did punch him hard in the arm, “Ow, don’t be so violent.”

“I’ll be however I damn well please,” she raised a brow and looked out across the throne room, “But it is good to have the Arling prospering so long after the Blight.”

Nathaniel nodded, gazing at the Warden Commander with a gaze full of sorrowful affection, “So, will you be returning to Denerim?”

She thought for a long minute. “No, I think I’m going to stay here at the Keep.”

The archer could barely hold his surprise in, before she started chuckling at his expression, “As I seem to recall, you still owe me one last dance.”

His shocked expression transformed into one of happiness as he leaned in, “How is it you remember it differently than I?”

“Our childhood wasn’t so different!” She laughed and shoved at his chest playfully, “Now where’s my dance you owe me?”

“As you wish my lady,” he said, taking her hand as he graciously led her down from the dais and into the crowd of nobles, all dancing and enjoying themselves.
