Xemnas tapped his fingers aggravating on the surface of his white marble desk, the vivid images continuing to assault him as he squeezed his eyes shut. He cracked his eyes as he heard the sound of a corridor opening just in front of the door leading into the hallway.

“What is it?” he growled in irritation.

“I should ask you,” Roxas cleared his throat, taking the few steps that brought him on the other side of the desk, facing his Superior, “You’re the one that called me here.”

Raising his chin in acknowledgement, Xemnas sat up, uncrossing his legs as he leaned forward. He rested his elbows on the marble top, his fingers forming a steeple as he pressed the tips to his chin.

“Ah, yes,” Xemnas mumbled. Another vivid image assaulted his vision as he gazed on the young boy, before quietly closing his eyes, “It seems Xion has become AWOL. You are to hunt her down.”

“Yes, sir,” Roxas nodded hesitantly, becoming commenting further, “And bring her back to the castle?”

“No,” Xemnas opened his eyes, golden irises locked on him, “You are to kill her.”

“What? No!” XIII roared desperately, resting his hands on the desk, “Why kill her?”

Xemnas stood up angrily, a distant but lucid memory slammed into him, catching him off guard. He held himself up by leaning on the desk as Roxas’ anger swiftly shifted to concern, “Superior!”

It had become a bad time for the boy to be near him and he knew it. Xemnas gritted his teeth, a hand at his temple, “Leave!”

Pausing briefly, Roxas stared blankly before exiting through a corridor.

The Superior uncharacteristically slumped back down into his chair, his head pounding as he held it in his hands.

“Ventus,” he breathed, unsure of who actually had spoken.
