--
“Hey, Cid’s girl!” Gippal waved, jogging to catch up with her.
The gaze she tossed him could have set him on fire, “Are you following me?!”
He ruffled her hair before having to side-step to avoid her thrown punch, “Don’t flatter yourself.”
“You look like you were following me,” Rikku angrily stomped her foot in the desert sand, though it didn’t really pack the incentive that she intended.
Gippal grinned, showing off his boyish charm, “Well, to be honest, I’m just here to make sure you don’t go getting killed in the desert.”
She puffed her cheeks, her nose wrinkling, “That doesn’t have anything to do with you.”
He gave a shrug of his shoulders, “Either way, you’re stuck with me.”
