“Serah,” Noel said, the catch in his voice causing her to gaze over his sullen floating form. Dark shadows cast by the moving rings of the Historia Crux filtered over Noel face as he stared at her, azure eyes hard as stone in their gaze.
“Yes, Noel?” She brought her hands to her chest, feeling the sudden urge to protect herself, not sure why, but still unable to stop the feeling. Serah tugged her bottom lip through her teeth, turning her gaze away.
He pulled her into his arms delicately, electricity sparking at their touch, “We'll get through this.”
“Yeah.”
