The grip on his forearm caught Ventus’ attention as he twisted to look at the one who had stopped him, “Is there something you need Zack?” he asked, his gaze questioning. He had been trying so hard to avoid contact with the dark haired male, more so considering that every time he caught Zack’s eyes in a stare all it did was remind him of Terra.
With his lips pursed into a tight line, Zack hesitated before quietly tugging the blond against him, his arms wrapping around his waist to cage the boy to his chest. Ventus flushed, trying to protest, but failing as no words escaped his mouth.
Zack kissed him.
Rough and tender, desperate and hungry.
Ventus whimpered into Zack’s mouth, feeling the urge to tear up overwhelm his senses. The intimate lip-locking that Zack was trying so very hard to drag him into only forced him to think of Terra. He had to find him!
Pushing against his chest, Ventus breathed for air as Zack ended the kiss.
Zack’s face was full of disappointment, he exhaled a held breath and leaned his forehead against the top of Ven’s head, “I figure you’re from strange world… like me…” he whispered, before pulling away, releasing Ventus from his arms.
Zack swallowed, before shrugging his shoulder distractedly, “Sorry.”
Ventus shook his head, his lips still burning from the contact, “It’s okay.”
“You remind me of him… Cloud, I mean,” Zack smiled faintly, thinking of the boy he mentioned. Ventus stared at him, his cheeks flaming from embarrassment as he swallowed, bashfully looking away. Zack reached out and stroked his cheek tenderly, his smile hardly reaching his eyes, “Be safe on your journey. Don’t want your special someone worrying for you.”
All Ventus did was return the half-hearted smile and nod.
