This would be his... their last stand, retribution for the Grey Wardens lost at Ostagar.
The Archdemon would taste the cold silverite of his sword as he imagined himself plunging the blade into the dragon's skull.
Riordan inhaled sharply, trying to dispel the hate that had his hand tightly bound in a fist.
One way or the other, this would be the final fight. He knew it, could feel it deep within him, the taint singing with the Darkspawn song that filled his veins.
To clear his mind, Riordan grabbed the rag he had been using to polish his sword, dipping it into the liniment and bringing it across the silverite.
